JAN W. WOLONIECKI
Co-author (with P.T. O’Neill) of "The Law of Reinsurance in England and Bermuda" (Sweet & Maxwell), 1998 – winner of the 1998 British Insurance Law Association Book Prize.

The Law of Reinsurance 2nd Edition
By P.T. O’Neill and J.W. Woloniecki

" I am delighted to welcome this second edition of O’Neill and Woloniecki’s authoritative exegesis of reinsurance law. Modern Bermuda is a thriving financial centre, with all the physical trappings of success. In particular Hamilton, the capital and business centre, has undergone its own sea-change into something rich and strange, and the haunted islands of the imagination where Shakespeare set his Tempest are long gone. Much of this physical development is due to the insurance and reinsurance industry, and that has brought with it what the foreword to the first edition described as “a further captive industry” in the form of litigation and arbitration relating to this branch of the law. But the law governing this field is not readily accessible, even to the intuitive lawyer. We all need a ball of thread to lead us through the maze, and this new edition is just that. "
